Fogbeasts is a song in Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected and Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed. It is track 19 on the CD and digital versions of the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Sound Selection, and Disc 5, Track 13 on the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Original Soundtrack and the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box. The melody at 0:55 is used as a motif in Roar from Beyond.

It plays during regular battles against Fogbeasts in both Future Connected and Future Redeemed. It also serves as the music for the Time Attack mission Lost in a Dark Dream, the only way Fogbeasts can be encountered in the main game of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition.

Finally, it also plays during the following scripted battles (all against Fogbeasts):

• The Snowal Taos in Alcamoth.
• The Field Ponios at Soltnar Seal Island.
• The Antol King at Companions' Cape.
• The Wind Vangs and the Deinos Sauros at Gran Dell. (The track plays after Unfinished Business finishes playing.)
• The Diastone Feris at the start of Chapter 4 in Future Redeemed.

この曲は 「霧」というワードからとても膨らませた曲になります。 霧が湧いて現れては 消え、現れては消え、存在はどこへ･･････こんなイメージを音符で表現出来ないかなと思って 色々試していた記憶があります。 気に入っている一曲です。 この曲の録音は本当に痺れ ました。 大体バンド系の曲はドラムから先に録音します。 山本真央樹さんのドラム→川崎 哲平さんのベース→真部裕さんストリングス→口雄矢さんのギターと録音しました。 曲後半のギターは実は6トラック以上の全然違うパートが重なっていて、 どのフレーズが 皆さんに聞こえてくるかな~なんて。 ギター超絶うまかったな~。 そしてピアノは吉村隆行さん。ピアノアドリブも痺れました。
