Exploration is Disc 1, Track 8 on the Xenoblade2 Original Soundtrack, Track 8 on the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Sound Selection, and Disc 6, Track 8 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box.

It plays during standard battles on the Ancient Ship, in Mor Ardain's Old Factory, and in the Spirit Crucible Elpys. It also plays for the fight against the Bodom Grebls in Theory and Praxis's second Blade Quest, Blade-Sharp Memory, in fights against the Pilum Tirkin, Ankl Tirkin and Tirkin King in Finch's Blade Quest Birds of a Feather. Additionally, it plays during the fight against Ambush Hassic and his men, during Marvelous Mercenaries, and the battle against Veteran Saffran and his companion, during the same quest.

初代「ゼノブレイド」ではなかったようなバトル曲を考えていました。レックスの印象は色々あると思うのですが、ファンキーだなと感じる部分がありまして、ファンクっぽい(黒すぎない)感じのバトルもカッコいいかなと思ってトライしてみました。少しフュージョンの匂いもあるのかな？ギターは望月清文さんと、中盤出てくるクリーンのカッティングはヨコタロウくん。持田裕輔くんのベースのチョッパーがカッコいいですね。
