Dialogue[edit]

Chapter 2[edit]

Elis
Looking at plants is so relaxing, don't you think?
Elis
I thought you might agree. Here's let me tell you something.
If you see a spot that seems to glitter – a rock formation, a tuft of grass, a tree root – you should try examining it.
Sometimes you can find stray items that have been hidden away by monsters.
They can actually be quite useful.
Other times though, you'll find a buried treasure trove. When that happens, you'll need special skills to unearth it.
I hear some Blades are good at that kind of thing.

After Tora and Poppi join the party[edit]

Elis
I don't care what my parents say, I'm going to become a botanical scientist in Mor Ardain.
Elis
You know how Gormott has lots of trees everywhere right? More than any other country in the world, actually!
So we make all sort of things out of wood. From tools to furniture, it has all kinds of uses.
But in Mor Ardain, they hardly have any trees at all.
Apparently if it weren't for the wood we export to them, they might run out completely.
As someone who grew up in Gormott, that makes me really sad. I can't imagine living without trees and wood.
So I want to study botany in Mor Ardain, and do something about their tree shortage problem.
My dream is to make Mor Ardain the second most tree-covered country in Alrest! After Gormott, of course!

Chapter 4[edit]

Elis
I don't care what my parents say, I'm going to become a botanical scientist in Mor Ardain.

It lets us make all kinds of wooden things, from furniture to tools.
But in Mor Ardain, they hardly have any trees at all.
Apparently they wouldn't be able to survive without the wood we export.

Chapter 6[edit]

Tiger! Tiger! high score of less than 18,310 points
Elis
Have you visited the weird house just below here? There's a game called Tiger! Tiger! just by the entrance.
I tried playing it once, just to see what it was like, but it was scarily addictive. I had fun for hours!
My high score right now is 18,310 points!
My dream was to become a botanical scientist, but maybe I should become a pro Tiger! Tiger! player instead...
Tiger! Tiger! high score between 18,310 and 81,107 points
Elis
Somebody beat my high score in that Tiger! Tiger! game. I was so shocked...
My beautiful 18,310 points...
But once I got over my shock, I resolved to practice even harder.
I trained from morning to night, never stopping to eat, even when I got blisters and my fingers started to bleed...
Until finally, I achieved a new high score of 81,107 points!
Nobody's EVER going to beat this one. I'm the top player in all of Alrest!
Tiger! Tiger! high score of more than 81,107 points

In other words, yes we know it's unfinished; we just didn't want to leave it blank in the meantime. You can help complete it.
The editor who added this tag elaborates: If anyone has such a high score, please add the party member dialogue if there is any
Elis
You... You're the one who beat my high score in Tiger! Tiger!, aren't you?
I thought nobody would ever be able to beat my 81,107 points...
You're too good. I admit defeat. I guess there's always someone stronger out there somewhere.
I don't think I'll be able to get a score higher than that again. I think it's time I moved on from Tiger! Tiger!, yes.
I want you to have this, for being such a fantastic rival.
Good luck with everything!
My dream was to go to Mor Ardain and become a botanical scientist...
But I've found a new dream now.
I'm going to make a game even more exciting than Tiger! Tiger! ever was!
And someday, when I finish it, I'll challenge you to beat me at it.
Next time I won't lose!
