Cordell Village was a village located on the outskirts of Gormott in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It was razed by bandits during the events of the game.

Lore[edit]

While a small village, Cordell Village had some distinguishing features, such as access to water and the production of Moonbeam Bananas[1]. However, due to its small size, the village did not have a military station[2].

According to Rhys and his friends, the reason for the bandits' attack on the village was its access to water[3]. During the attack, most of the villagers were killed and most buildings were ruined. There were only a handful of survivors, such as Rhys, who stayed in Gormott, or Lummie and a few others, who were evacuated to Garfont Village.

Following the attack, Rhys and his friends decided to take revenge on the bandits, leading to him stealing Roc's Core Crystal and the party getting involved. After the bandits responsible for razing the town were arrested, the news of Cordell's destruction became known to people in Torigoth. Torigoth's Chief, Edgar, alongside the town's elders, decided to create a memorial statue for the people of Cordell[4].
