Story[edit]

After Malos breaks from Amalthus's control, he goes on a rampage around Alrest and sinks Coeia using his Siren. Afterward, the attack is attributed to a military alliance between Mor Ardain and Indol, with Praetor Rhadallis said to be the one who initiated it, while Coeia's capital, Omrantha, fell in a single night.

Coeia's fall shocked many of Alrest's nation and created a period of unrest, as the remnants of Coeia's army on the many Titans of Alrest lost contact with their mainland. Without any leadership, these remnants began to cause trouble, such as in Gormott, where they looted a number of villages, leading Mor Ardain to get involved and try to disarm and capture them. As a result, Emperor Hugo went to Gormott with the intention of doing that, along with gathering intel on Malos. Later on, he is requested to help with disarming remnants of Coeia's troops on an archipelago near Torna.

During Duplicity, a Coeian spy in one of Hugo's units, MacNeth, is uncovered, leading the emperor to disguise him as one of Addam's followers and send him to hide in Auresco, with the aim of getting information from him at a later date.

Lore[edit]
