Chapter 12 is the final Story Mission of Xenoblade Chronicles X and the end of the game's main story.
Maurice Chausson announces to the whole city that the location of the Lifehold Core has been discovered, and that BLADE will get the Lifehold Core and the people will be able to return to their bodies.
Nagi announces that Team Elma is tasked with securing the Lifehold Core and activating its backup power system. Once the exact location is announced, all of BLADE will participate in the mission.
Irina, Gwin, and L arrive as Lin and Tatsu prepare a massive feast before the big event. Doug comes in, angry that the team seems to be taking it too lightly. Irina explains that Lin is just trying to keep morale up, and Doug apologizes.
Afterwards, Commander Vandham calls and asks Elma's team to meet him at the BLADE Tower. He states that the Lifehold Core is far off the west coast of Cauldros, in the middle of the ocean and tells Elma to go and lead the mission to secure the Lifehold Core and their future on Mira.
Objectives[edit]
- Talk to Commander Vandham in New LA's BLADE Tower.
- Head to the waters off Cauldros.
- Head via Skell to the Lifehold Core off the western coast of Cauldros.
- Enter the Lifehold Core.
- Once this step is completed, the player will not be allowed to save or leave the Lifehold Core until they complete the mission.
- Head to the center of the Lifehold Core.
- Defeat the Vita.
- When the Vita reaches half health, the fight will continue to Vita (part 2).
- Defeat the soldier chimeras.
- Defeat Lao.
- When the Lao reaches half health, the fight will continue to Lao (part 2).
