Carrying the Weight of Life, known as The Weight of Life in prerelease material, is Disc 5, Track 7 on the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Original Soundtrack and Disc 16, Track 7 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box. It was used in promotional material for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, being featured in the game's release date trailer. The track was released as part of Xenoblade Note vol. 5, and was also released in a tweet by XenobladeJP on Twitter.
The track uses (different) motifs from Counterattack (from the Xenoblade2 Original Soundtrack) at 2:06 and 2:29, and from Engage the Enemy (from the Xenoblade Original Soundtrack) at 2:17. The flute line uses a motif from Off-Seer - Mio at 2:55 and 3:23.

- Eunie first awakens her Ouroboros form, and Noah and Mio destroy Colony 4's Flame Clock.
- Noah and Mio destroy the cliff O and P are standing on before their interlink causes an annihilation event.

「1」と「2」(例えば 「敵との対峙」) のような盛り上がる箇所があるものが欲しい。 ただし同じ曲調ではなく新 しいものを、ハイスピードで! との要望を受け今回担当となった唯一のイベント曲です。 命を背負った悲壮感 の中、 それでも戦わなければならない主人公達・・・・・・ 『ゼノブレイド』 に携わってきた僕自身の想いも全て注ぎ込 んだ文字通り渾身の一曲です。 そんな思いも込めた 「1」と「2」のあのフレーズは気づく人だけに・・・・・・とさりげ なく入れたつもりでしたがPVでの初公開後すぐに皆さんに届いたのがわかり感涙でした!
