Original text

Although this piece was originally in a Baroque style, here I tried giving it a "Bulgarian voices and strings" sort of arrangement. The image I had in mind is of a lone person's grief spreading out like successive ripples. Typically, the structure of Bulgarian voices is of a main melody accompanied by a supporting melody and a constant tone at a fixed pitch (a drone), but I purposefully tried taking a classical approach for the choral arrangement. I feel this produced quite an interesting effect.
