C.S.E.V. Maelstrom is the salvaging ship of the Argentum Trade Guild in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is used to refloat the Ancient Ship during the events of Chapter 1. Afterward, the guild's salvagers are too afraid to use the ship again, for fear of another incident happening.
Layout[edit]
Usually, this map is part of Argentum, but acts as its own map when Rex departs for his 100,000 G job with Nia, Dromarch, Malos, Sever, and Jin.
The ship's interior contains sleeping areas for the crew, as well as food and drink to keep their spirits up. Upstairs, there's a deck with another set of stairs leading up to a watchtower just below the flying Titan that powers the ship.
On the outside, the Maelstrom has a crane, fixed at the back of the ship's deck, as well as what appears to be two auxiliary Titan ships, each found on one side of the ship's back, to assist with the salvage of heavy objects like the Ancient Ship.

- "C.S.E.V." likely stands for "Cloud Sea Exploration Vessel" given the translation of the original Japanese name.
