Black Mountains - Prison Island/Night is Disc 9, Track 10 on the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Original Soundtrack and Disc 20, Track 10 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box. Black Mountains - Valak Mountain/Night is a version of this track with less instrumentation, in particular less electric guitar.
It is the area theme for Prison Island during the night. The track is smoothly transitioned into from the equivalent part of Black Mountains - Valak Mountain/Night when using the Ether Slide to Prison Island, and vice versa when taking the slide back.

「黒い山・監獄島」 の夜アレンジということで、 昼バージョンのザクザク前進していく様よりも、ちょっと冷たくて寒くて、この先に対する想いに浸りながらも進んでいくイメージで作りました。 レコーディングの際、 野口さんのピアノや坂本遥さんのギターの音がイメージにとてもマッチしていてテンションが上がりました! 特にギターの音色を昼バージョンと微妙に変えてくださって、なおさらちょっと掠れたような、歪んでいるような音色で演奏していただきました。 そして何よりも山本真央樹さんと小栢伸五さんの作り出すかっこいいグルーブがきっとラスボスまで引っ張ってくれると思います!
